Welcome To

Eastern Highlands Provincial Administration Head Quarters - Goroka

About Us

Since 1977 to 2021

The province was governed by a decentralised provincial administration, headed by a Premier, from 1977 to 1995. Following reforms taking effect that year, the national government resumed some powers, and the role of Premier was replaced by a position of Governor, to be held by the winner of the province-wide seat in the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea.

IFMS

The EHP Administration has successfully established its public finance accounting system since February 2020, the Integrated Financial Management System in all sectors of the Provincial Head Quarters and is now encouraging all the eight Districts to be in charge of their own ICT accounting system in their respective District HQ. Currently, all workstations in the PHQ are committing projects and operational funds right at their respective workstations.
